Rascal Script is an exuberant broad-brush connected script. With wild calligraphic strokes and reckless speed, Rascal brings an irreverent voice to display settings. Rascal Script’s connective architecture is old-school: inspired by Roger Excoffon’s metal-type scripts, the construction allows for an economy of forms. Instead of a huge suite of alternate characters, it mimics the casual rhythms of brush lettering using only three ligatures – fr, fs, and tt – and an alternate lowercase s. The typeface is available in one style and includes an extensive latin-alphabet character set.
